Otterlog is a desktop meeting recorder, transcriber, and summariser for Mac and Windows that runs entirely on the user's computer. No cloud transcription, no remote summarisation, no telemetry, no account. The only network calls it makes are a license check, an update check, and a one-time model download; all three are documented and reproducible with Little Snitch or Wireshark. Built by UK-based Papi Labs as a one-time license at $99 (or $79 for the first 100 buyers), Otterlog targets prosumer professionals (lawyers, therapists, founders, executives) whose meeting content can't reasonably live in someone else's cloud.

Saman Taherimoud is the founder of Papi Labs, the UK-based AI venture studio behind Otterlog. He's an AI product builder and solutions engineer with seven years of shipping software and four years specifically building with LLMs since the OpenAI davinci-3 era. Prior to Papi Labs he ran product at QubyteCode (a two-person R&D studio prototyping a natural-speech LLM interface in 2022, pre-ChatGPT voice), co-founded Set Yeti (a B2B marketplace with AI-powered visual search, 2019), and pioneered virtual production using ARwall as one of the first cinematographers in Europe to do so. He's a 2025 ChangemakerXchange AI Fellow, a Work Pillar Lead at Digital Horizon UK, and Digital Services Officer at TERN. British Iranian, based in Newcastle.
